Arild Waaler is professor in logic and computation at University of Oslo. He coordinates the FP7 IP project Optique and is director of the Centre for Scalable Data Access newly funded by the Research Council of Norway.

The Optique project is a 4 year IP that aims to take Ontology-Based Data Access "out of the laboratory" and deploy it on large-scale use cases from European industry. This presentation summarises the experiences from the first three years of deployment at the oil & gas company Statoil.
